Vibrators linked to better health

Good news girls – using a vibrator is good for you! According to research carried out by Indiana University, use of sex toys is linked to better sexual health.

It revealed that 53 per cent of women aged between 18 and 60 have used a vibrator, with almost a quarter having done so in the last month.

And it showed that ladies who have battery-powered friends are more likely to have regular gynaecological exams. They are also more likely to carry out frequent self-examinations.

In addition, using sex toys has a positive impact on sexual satisfaction, as vibrator fans reported feeling more arousal and having more orgasms during sex.

But it’s not just women who can benefit from using sex toys. Of the men questioned, almost 45 per cent said they had incorporated a vibrator into their sexual activities at some point.

Again, those who had used sex toys were found to be more likely to participate in sexual health promoting behaviours and enjoy greater sexual desire and overall satisfaction.

Good news for those putting vibrators at the top of their Christmas wish list then!

According to, sex toys are the most sought after gift this year, ahead of clothes, electrical goods and jewellery.
