Sometimes when life gets us stressed we just need a hug and if you’ve got a spare £40 ($60) you can cozy up with your own personal ‘cuddler‘.
Jackie Samuel is a 29-year-old is a professional cuddler from America who has opened up her cottage in Rochester, New York to clients to come in and get cozy.
Imploring people to “Take a break, have a snuggle”, she offers her services for $60 an hour and has recently added an extra cuddler to her team, opening up the option of a double cuddle for $100.
Jackie’s snuggly career helps pay for her studies (a master’s degree in Social Work) and to provide for her young son, making up to $260 a day and cuddling up with up to 30 men a week. Including war veterans and pensioners. However all this lighthearted cuddling has caused great controversy with her college who have since threatened to expel her while others have even labelled her a prostitute!
All negativity aside, her business “The Snuggery” has gone from strength to strength claiming that,
‘I think clients come to me for all different kinds of reasons. Some of my older clients, their wives have passed away, and they just need someone to be with, like someone to experience touch with.’
There are strict rules when it comes to cuddling with her clients though, with patrons banned from touching parts of her body covered by underwear, which she wears under pyjamas and demands a meeting session prior to snuggling to ensure the ground rules are laid and that the customer has no seedier intentions…
If you had access to The Snuggery…would you?
