Relationships suffer at Christmas

Christmas makes relationships suffer, a new study has found.

According to website Divorce-Online.co.uk, a quarter of UK adults believe that the pressure of the festive period affects their relationship.

In addition, two thirds believed that the new year can encourage people to look for a change.

Bristol residents are the most likely to feel the pressure in the run up to Christmas, with more than a third suggesting that they were allowing problems to build up.

Men were also found to be more likely than women to feel under stress because of the requirement to buy the perfect gift for their partners.

When asked, 32 per cent of people agreed that a “minor incident” was more likely to end their relationship than a major one.

Divorce-Online.co.uk has helped over 60,000 people achieve an amicable divorce since it was set up in 1999.

It has gone on to become one of the biggest online divorce services and solutions websites.
