A new film showing in cinemas now is busting the commonly-held myth that sex over 50 just isn’t, well, sexy.
They embark on a steamy affair behind the backs of their other halves, unveiling their wrinkles and wobbly bits to camera in a refreshingly uninhibited way.
In an article for the Daily Mail, journalist Louise Chunn said the film is sure to appeal to fiftysomethings like herself who know that sex gets better with age.
“It was only when I left the cinema with a post-coital grin on my face that I realised how very rare it is to see such things as middle-aged feet, just like mine, peeking out from under a sex-tousled sheet,” she wrote.
Prior to the movie’s release, Meryl Streep said she will not shy away from filming sex scenes because of her age.
The 60-year-old actress said sex between two older people on screen is “authentic” and insisted it’s “thrilling” to see it.
