A large number of men are hoping to find ‘the one’ this year, according to a new survey which looks at the most popular New Year resolutions.
Social network CitySocialising discovered that finding true love is the second most common resolution among guys, with 23 per cent hoping to meet someone special in 2010.
By contrast, falling in love ranks fifth among women, coming below enjoying life more, losing weight, getting fit and learning something new.
This may suggest that many women have already found true love, although it could also mean that they are happy being single.
But for those girls who are still looking, the findings could come as good news.
Sanchita Saha, founder of CitySocialising, said: "It’s really interesting that finding true love comes so high on the list of resolutions for men compared to women.
"I think it’s very sweet and should give any single girls out there real hope of finding Mr Right this year."
Meanwhile, a survey by dating website Smooch.com has found that women are aiming to more attractive and healthy in 2010, while men are chasing after wealth.
