This Valentine’s Day the Sexual Advice Association doesn’t just want you to think about romance, it’s also encouraging you to have sex on the brain.
It is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of the physical and psychological issues around sexual activity and has designated February 14th Thinking About Sex Day.
Comedy actors Alistair McGowan, Miranda Richardson and Ronni Ancona are supporting the project with a series of humorous sketches that urge people to be open about sex and to discuss it more.
Tricia Barnes, trustee of the Sexual Advice Association, said the skits bring attention to common sexual difficulties in a light-hearted way.
Thinking about sex, and discussing it with others, could also help to plug the sexual knowledge gap that seems to exist in Britain.
According to a government-commissioned survey carried out in November, one quarter of people in the UK feel too embarrassed to ask the questions they really want to about sex.
