Kinky Kiwis prefer Valentine’s Day sex toys over flowers

Things will be getting pretty hot Down Under this Valentine’s Day if the results of a new survey are anything to go by.

According to a survey by Durex, most New Zealanders would prefer to receive raunchy gifts they can use in the bedroom this year over traditional presents.

Seven out of ten women said they would like their partner to buy them a vibrator instead of a bunch of flowers, while eight out of ten men said a sex toy would make a much better gift than a power tool.

David Rae, manager of Durex New Zealand, said: “The survey indicates that Kiwis are moving away from traditional presents to ideas that involve enjoying and celebrating their relationships.”

The research also revealed that 17 per cent of ladies Down Under believe their sexiest Valentine’s Day act has been trying out a new sex toy, while 16 per cent said they had performed a strip tease for their man.

Perhaps this year they should dress up in stockings and suspenders, as a recent poll by popcorn brand Butterkist found that the naughty hosiery is one of the top ten things that men find irresistible about women.
