The author of a sex text book has revealed how people of all ages can ensure they constantly retain some youthful vigor in the bedroom.
Sarah Hedley, an expert on sex, health and well-being and author of 7 Days to Amazing Sex, told the Daily Record that couples need to work hard to bring sex back into their lives.
Her comments come after figures revealed that one in four women over the age of 35 never have intercourse, even if they are in a long-term relationship.
Ms Hedley advises that people start a new sex routine.
"Even if you don’t feel like having sex, if you can commit to doing it twice a week, it will kick-start your libido," she commented.
The sexpert recommended couples dedicate two hours where they can go to bed together, even if it is just to talk about sex; what they like, what they have enjoyed from each other and how they would like to move forward.
Although it’s a "cliche", she also advised women to don some sexy lingerie, which will put them in a feel good mood and is bound to get their partner’s hot under the collar.
And if you need that extra push to get you aroused you could always try reading erotic literature to one another, watching a light porn film together or bringing in some sex toys to give your love life that extra buzz.
