Extramarital sex ‘makes the earth move’

Has the earth ever moved for you during a moment of wild passion? It will if you indulge in a little nookie outside of your marriage, according to an Iranian cleric.

Addressing worshippers in Tehran, Ayatollah Kazem Sedighi urged young women to cover up their bodies to minimise the risk of earthquakes.

He argued that by dressing suggestively they "taint their chastity" and encourage men to have affairs. This in turn causes seismic activity.

"Many women who dress inappropriately cause youths to go astray and incite extramarital sex in society, which increases earthquakes," the cleric stated.

There is little scientific evidence to back up his claims and experts would argue that it’s climate change, not adulterous men and women, that is causing earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and other natural disasters.

On the other hand, celebrities left, right and centre have been playing away in recent months. Could it actually be that Tiger Woods and his fellow philanderers caused the Eyjafjallajokull volcano to erupt?

Of course, some would argue they’ve experienced tremors during sex, albeit of the bodily kind.
