It’s that time of year when hordes of hopeful campers head out to all sorts of festivals, hoping for dry weather, good music and a chance for a bit of outdoor nookie.
Personally, I love getting sexy outdoors so have made a list of things to be aware of to make sure your outside escapades are absolute pleasure:
Wash your hands! – Seems obvious, but when you’re out and about walking through fields all day you don’t get to wash your hands as often as you would at home. Dirty hands and fingernails can lead to urinary tract infections, yeast infections and more. You could take some hand sanitizer for emergencies, but I would strongly recommend rinsing it off before using your hands in tender places.
Carry condoms –Whether you’re at the festival with your partner or hoping to meet some new lovers, don’t depend on them to bring the protection. Always have your own available – just in case!
Sex toys & cleaner – There’s no reason you can’t take your favourite sex toys along, just make sure you have some sex toy cleaner with you. Hygiene is always important with sex, and especially so outdoors.
Think about what you really want – It can be easy to get carried away with the laid back, party atmosphere of a festival and potential heavy drinking and make decisions you might not otherwise make. Think carefully about your choices and only sleep with someone if you’re absolutely sure it’s what you want.
Tents are NOT soundproof – Ok, this should be obvious, however when you’re all cosied up inside someone’s sleeping bag and getting your groove on, it’s easy to forget that the tent walls are not actual walls. Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with other folk hearing what you’re getting up to, but it’s probably good to at least be aware that anyone near your tent can hear you.
To make the most of your summer frolics outdoors, pack extra bedding if you can (for comfort), don’t forget the lubricant and go have fun!
