Icicles Rose Tentacle Glass Dildo No 24

I was given the Icicles Rose Tentacle Glass Dildo No 24 as a birthday present and I have to say I totally love it.

For a start, it's seriously pretty. It's all sensual curves and interesting bobbles and as a huge bonus for me, it looks like a tentacle rather than an obvious sex toy so I can keep it on display even if I'm expecting visits from elderly relatives with dodgy hearts - I play roleplaying games so it would look totally at home among the random bits of weird gaming stuff I've collected over the years. It's even a nice colour - I don't normally do pink but this is a subtle soft rose tone that it would be difficult to take offence at. It's a very organic shape, it curls beautifully and the pattern of dimples, valleys and ridges gives a wonderful variety of surfaces. It's also crystal clear and reflects the light in all directions. I could spend hours just looking at it, but that would make for a very dull review.

The tentacle is as effective as it is shiny - the curves are designed to stimulate everywhere they touch and the shape is pretty much perfect for g-spot stim. I love the chill as the cold glass touches the skin, it sends delicious shivers right through me, although a quick run under a warm tap would heat it nicely if you prefer things hot. Another benefit of glass is how solid and unyeilding it is, you can clench your muscles as tight as they go around this beauty and it won't give at all. It feels incredible, the ridges and dimples are perfectly placed to massage the vaginal opening, the tip curls at just the right angle to rub against my clit while I'm stroking the ridges over my g-spot. It's fantastic. A beautiful piece of design.

This is a great addition to the toy box. The only criticism is that it's a bit on the small side with only about 4 inches of insertable length, but that's just personal preference and while I may want to team this with a bigger toy and possibly a vibrating bullet (held against the glass the vibrations spread wonderfully) this is definitely going to be used again and again and again.

The Icicles No. 24 is a handmade glass dildo that has been crafted to look similar to a tentacle. A few months ago if I was asked if I had a form of tentacle fetish, I would have answered no. I'm still unsure if I do have a tentacle fetish, but I've now had a few experiences with tentacle shaped toys. The curved S shape of most tentacle shaped toys seems to be great for stimulating the g-spot, and the added textures from the tentacle like suckers are often perfect for those who enjoy a little extra stimulation. From my general experience with tentacle style dildos, they're often less frightening than one would first perceive them to be from online descriptions and photos. The Icicles No. 24 isn't as menacing as you might think; it's actually rather pretty due to its sparkling pink glass.



The Icicles No. 24 arrives in a cardboard box with various product images printed on it. The front of the box opens up with a magnetic latch to reveal the product which is kept behind a clear plastic window. Inconveniently you actually have to open the box up to get the toy out; I would've preferred to have instant access to the toy after lifting up the magnetic cardboard front. The toy is resting safely in a custom cut piece of foam. There is no storage bag with this toy, so you may wish to keep the box.



The first Icicles No. 24 I was sent had to be returned as there was a sharp scratch on one of the lower bumps. This isn't very common with glass toys; most companies do extensive checks before sending each toy off. It's always worth checking a glass toy before each use. Glass toys are made from a stronger form of glass, known as borosilicate glass or more commonly known as Pyrex. This glass is used in medical equipment and even kitchen wear. It's pretty tough and can withstand extreme temperatures. Due to having to send my original order back for a replacement, I can confirm that each No. 24 is very individualistic; the replacement almost seems like a completely different toy. All the toys within the Icicles range are handmade, meaning that each item is very special and unique. The toy reminds me of a dimpled veiny tongue rather than an actual tentacle. There are two rows of bumps travelling adjacently from the tip of the toy to the end of the handle. Each row has 16 bumps; these bumps are all very rounded and prominent compared to other textured toys. The number of bumps and size of each bump may vary from each toy. Running between the two rows of bumps is a crevice like groove. As well as the top of the toy being textured, the underside has vein like ridges travelling along it. These ridges are similar to the type of veins found on realistic penis toys; unlike a jelly or silicone toy these veins are firmer and more noticeable. At the base of the toy there is a curved looped handle, the bumps continue all the way round the handle making it easier to grip, especially when the toy becomes slippery. The handle is only big enough to accommodate one finger or thumb wrapped round it. This toy is the most textured toy I own, because of this I would recommend using added lubrication. The toy is 6 inches in length with 4 inches of insertable shaft. The toy is gently slopped; it isn't as curved as some of the toys I own. Even though the toy is an S shape it comfortably sits on a flat surface without falling over. The glass is a crystal clear pink, I'm not normally one for pink toys but this toy is pretty. Light reflects beautifully off each individual bump.



When inserting this toy I recommend using additional lubrication, not because the glass is difficult to insert, but because the textures are very strong and can feel slightly uncomfortable if you and the toy lack much lubrication. The toy can be inserted with either the bumps stimulating the front of the vaginal wall or the veins. When inserting the toy with the bump side up, I was able to appreciate all the bumps rub against the front of my vaginal wall. I was also able to appreciate the textures provided from the veins. Normally I find textures on the underside of toys go unnoticed, but this wasn't the case with the No. 24 dildo. I found that when I used the toy bump side up, the curve didn't actually hit my g-spot. I was surprised by this, as in the past similarly designed curved toys have hit my g-spot dead on. When inserting the toy with the veins facing to the front of my vaginal wall, I found that the curve brush against my g-spot but it wasn't able to produce a g-spot orgasm. When using the toy vein side up, I enjoyed how different the toy felt compared to when the bumps were stimulating the front of my vaginal wall. Even though I didn't reach a g-spot orgasm with this toy I still enjoyed the variation of the textures and how comfortable the contoured curved shaft felt inside me. I've found the curved bump side to be perfect for massaging the legs and thighs. Also running the bumps over the clitoris and labia is particularly enjoyable. The bumps on the handle seem to produce more accurate textured stimulation to the clitoris and are also perfect for stimulating your areola and nipples.



The toy can be used anally because the curved handle will prevent it from getting lost. I'm a little nervous about using it anally; I'm not overly keen on extreme textures for anal stimulation.

The glass is perfect for those wishing to experiment with temperature play. Just run it under a hot or cold tap, it adjusts to the desired temperature quickly. The handle is particularly helpful when the glass has been cooled.

Cleaning the toy is easy; just use your standard antibacterial toy cleaner. Some variations of the toy might be harder to clean than others due to how different the textures can be on each toy, just make sure you give these areas a little extra attention. The toy is also dishwasher safe, and is easy to sterilise.



Overall, I still like the No. 24 a lot, even though it doesn't produce a g-spot orgasm in me. Just because it didn't stimulate my g-spot enough to produce an orgasm, it still might with you. Remember that everyone's anatomy is slightly different, but also each No. 24 dildo is vaguely different as they are handmade. It has to be the most interesting textured toys I own, and can be used in a variation of ways for external and internal massage. Also, due to the toy having a handle and only a short amount of insertable shaft, I feel it would be a great toy to use with a partner. I wouldn't recommend this toy to those who aren't keen on textured toys.
