Icicles Blue Spiral Wave Glass Dildo No 8

Modest in size but not in Pleasure!

I was lucky enough to find myself the owner of an Icicles No 08 Glass dildo after recently winning a competition. It had been a while since I had last played with a glass toy despite the fact that I own several glass dildos already. I was at one time a fan of the feel of glass but had turned into a silicone addict since. I was excited waiting for my my new icicles to arrive and more than glad to have an excuse to give glass toys a try again.

Packaging-

The icicles No 08 Dildo arrived beautifully packaged in a black and white box which describes the item within as being a 'hand blown glass massager'. The front of the box features an illustration of the toy within and pulls open to reveal the toy itself sitting behind a window of clear plastic. The packaging though simple has a feel of elegance to it and is the type of packaging that you might hold onto for more long term storage of the toy. When opened the box safely contains the Glass toy within inner foam packaging.

Once removed from its packaging the first thing I thought upon seeing the icicles No 08 was "wow this is pretty petite" My second thought was of how wonderfully this toy reflects light. I have owned some pretty aesthetically pleasing glass toys before but none match this or are even close. The blue spirals within the glass show tints of purple and turquoise when the light hits them, while the outside of the glass reflects rainbow colours, blues, purples, greens and yellows.

Measurements-

In terms of size the Icicles No 08 has an overall length of 7 inches or 5 1/4 inches of insertable length if you insert up to the beginning of the ball. In girth the 'ripples' of the toy vary from 2 1/2 inches to 3 1/4 inches in circumference and the 'ball' end is 5 inches in circumference.

With this not being the longest and certainly not being a girthy toy (with the exception of the ball end) I would highly recommend this to anyone new to toys and looking for their first glass toy. As a fan of smaller toys myself I was relieved to see the size of this in person but I feel that even people used to larger toys will enjoy this, with the added sensation the ripples create and the option of inserting the balled end for G-spot stimulation this toy is likely to satisfy most.

I find my favourite use for this is to first warm it up in hands and apply a small amount of lube before inserting the smaller end using the ball as a handle, the sensations from slowly inserting the ripples can be surprisingly intense. This being a smooth textured toy I also found it great for lubing up and using to rub my clit, and being made of glass it can be heated up or cooled down before play. I find the easiest way to do this is to rest the toy in either warm or cold water before use. You can also chill this in the freezer and according to its packaging it is even safe to heat in the microwave.

Cleaning/Care-

Another benefit of being made of glass is that this toy is hypoallergenic, body-safe and non-porous. Cleaning is also easy, I clean mine with warm soapy water but this can also be placed in the dishwasher, as it is non-porous it doesn't absorb or harbour bacteria within its material. I use water based lube with mine but any type of lubricant can be used with it.

Pros: Beautiful, easy to clean and store, ripples feel amazing.

Cons: None.

In summary: This is the toy that re-awoke my love of glass toys and that's understandable with its simple but effective shape. Petite enough to be beginner friendly but still very stimulating.

This is a beautiful piece of hand-blown glass which has a beautiful blue swirl like twisted ribbon through the middle, similar to the marbles you used to get as a child, this really catches the light beautifully. Being hand blown glass you will be receiving a unique piece of glass, each one will be very slightly different.

The glass is non-porous and body safe and has no sharp unfinished lumps or bumps. The shape of the shaft has gentle undulating waves with a softly tapered tip. The base is formed into a glass ball with the same gorgeous blue iridescence inside like a giant marble perfect for gripping on to.

USE
I personally love it warm...ok hot and it felt amazing rolled firmly over my back and shoulders, right down to my bum cheeks and lower thighs, the hot undulating glass pressed into your muscles really does relax you. As an added bonus it casts light sparkles on the skin and on the walls its stunning.
The softly tapered tip is perfect for penetration, I heated it up in some hot water and it slips inside easily with no lube, wow it felt incredible.
The solid glass ball fits really well into the palm of my hand making it perfect to grip onto while using this. I haven't attempted to insert the glass ball yet...but its something Ill work up to eventually...maybe!!
Although I didn't come directly with this dildo; it certainly was perfect for foreplay and after having the intense heat inside it really did help in relaxation leading to some strong orgasms. My OH loves being inside me after having the heat of this inside me. It holds the warmth for up to half an hour and by them it had certainly completed its mission well, many times.
I haven't used the base for anal as the bulb is too large for me, but others will may enjoy the larger width and smoothness, but the main tapered tip is perfect especially warmed up, the undulating waves make it great for gentle anal play.

CLEANING
Being non-porous glass and waterproof, this cleans beautifully under hot soapy running water. It can be popped into the dishwasher, I just don't have one.

CONCLUSION
Those new to dildos or glass will find this very feminine and unthreatening and the gently tapered tip and the slim softly undulating shaft is perfect for both vaginal and anal penetration, perfect to take into a relaxing warm bath or shower. I really loved the iridescent beauty of this dildo the colours are stunning and you are getting a piece of individual art as well as a sensuous dildo and massager. A beautiful glass piece to add to any collection.
