LELO Personal Moisturiser 150ml

I have always known Lelo as the beautiful but sadly out of my reach luxury sex toy brand so when they brought out the accessories range I admit I was a little dubious. Many brands that have tried out something totally different have goofed it up. I gave Lelo the benefit of the doubt, crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. I was a little swayed by the exquisite packaging but I prayed that the lubricant would be worthy of such a brand.

My hoping and praying to the sex gods paid off, this is by far the best lubricant I have ever had the pleasure to use on my lady parts!

Packaging: The packaging looked luxurious in the product photo and I am pleased to say it is just as good if not better in person. The cringe-free black box with Lelo and the outline of the lubricant on the front surrounded by circles is both eye-catching for the trained eye yet subtle and discreet. You could place it on a shelf and it would hardly get noticed.

The only issue I have found with the packaging is the black circle, you have to pull it up to use the pump and then push it back down again. Which is good in that it can't get pushed by accident but awkward to keep doing in the heat of moment.

The pump action is easy to use and doesn't stick. You only need a tiny amount of lubricant to go a long way, thankfully Lelo has thought of this and only a small amount comes out each time. But you are not pumping on this for 5 minutes to get enough, 1 or 2 squirts are sufficient.

Contents: So many lubricants have harsh chemicals and what not in them. Personally I dont put any lubricants with chemicals near my or my partner's intimate areas. Lelo has come up top marks, not only is the lubricant water-based, it does not contain glycerine (sugar derivative) or parabens (preservatives).

Consistency: Many lubricants both silicone and water-based fall down in this category. There are usually either too thick and gloopy or runny which means you either need a crow bar to be separated or feel like you are Bambi on ice, neither which are particularly romantic. Lelo has the consistency and thinness of silicone based lubricants without being runny, the perfect slickness.

Feel: Lelo has sold this lubricant as a moisturiser, although this cant replace your body butter, when it is massaged in it does make your skin feel softer.

Taste: So many lubricants can ruin the moment if you happen to taste them, the strong chemicals that are sometimes artificially sweetened which is the taste of some so called flavoured lubricants. It is usually best to keep your tongue as far away from lubricants as you can if you want to keep all your taste buds and not have the unpleasant taste sensation of mouthwash. Lelo lubricant tastes slightly of chemicals which means that it doesn't make a great partner with oral, however the very slight chemical taste disappears quickly without the aid of a drink, which can very often ruin the moment.

Noticeable: The best lubricants are those that are couples friendly and dont steal all the attention. Lelo is noticeable for all the right reasons, the slick, ethereal texture that is unmatched by any other lubricant I have used. You forget you are using Lelo, it feels totally natural and not like another barrier between partners. It doesn't get sticky and you dont feel like you need a shower and an enema to get rid of it.

Base: Lelo is a water-based lubricant which means it is safe to use with all toys and condoms. Silicone based lubricants can't be used with silicone based toys as the materials can react leaving you with a sticky useless toy.

Water-based also means it is water soluble so just soap and water is needed to wash it off skin, what a perfect excuse for some after shower fun. Water-based also means that it will not stain material unlike silicone based lubricants. However the small amount needed for a slick and pleasurable experience shouldn't be enough to touch the sheets.

Endurance: A big downside to water-based lubricants is that they evaporate and so you are left feeling like you have slid down a sandpaper banister, not pleasant. I thought the small amount needed of this lubricant unfortunately meant it would need to be topped up often. I am pleased to say it doesn't. For me, lubricant is used for extra slickness when I am in the mood but my body isn't quite on the same wave length. I applied a small amount and got down to business which was all that was needed before my body woke up and started producing its own natural lubricant. There was little difference in Lelo lubricant and my own, you really don't know you are using it.

Verdict: Lelo lubricant is outstanding in excellence that is superior to any other lubricant I have used. Although the price is more than one would usually pay for the volume of lubricant, the small amount needed means that it will last as long if not longer as cheaper lubricants. One other slight issue is that the design of the circle on top means you can't use the pump at the same time, however it also means that it cant be split by accident.

Lelo has really stepped up to the mark with this lubricant, the packaging is exquisite, the consistency is ethereal, the taste is close to neutral, the endurance level high, the feel natural and it is couple-friendly.
