Lux Fetish Thumb Cuffs

These are great fun!
I bought these because they aren't as intimidating as handcuffs and work as a great way to introduce someone to bondage. They are also bar and pocket friendly, others wouldn't question you having them because they would see it merely as a gimmick.
They do work though! If you have chubby thumbs there is a chance you'd be able to slip them off, but otherwise they are as effective, if not more restrictive, as handcuffs are.
The gripe I have with these is the build quality. You won't need to worry about them falling apart, I doubt that will happen; but you can definitely tell they're made cheaply. The pair I got had an uneven ratchet, one side clicked firmly and the other side is so loose it almost falls through without needing to be pushed. Keys are also a little fiddely.

An important note to take into consideration: The keys look just like handcuff keys but don't be fooled. They are smaller than handcuff keys, so handcuff keys will not work with these. Don't lose them!!

For those who don't know thumb cuffs are small non flexible hand cuffs that instead of locking around the wrists lock around the middle of your thumb between the first and second joints. As this part of your thumb is thinner than the rest a securely locked thumb cuff is impossible to remove.

The Lux Fetish cuff is a solid metal, and solidly built, cuff that comes in pretty plain cardboard packaging with the cuffs and two keys in a plastic bag inside. Keep the keys separate and safe. This is not a toy and as such it does not have a safety release. It is however compatible with other standard handcuff keys. I tested it with mine and it works just fine.

Yes I have a spare swivel handcuff key on my keyring, no don't ask. I won't tell you.

The mechanism is a double locking type, which means that it can be tightened to the desired size and then locked in position so that it can neither be opened nor closed further, preventing accidental injury or constriction. To do this just tighten the cuffs as needed and then push the pin on the back of the key into the hole on the top of the cuffs and depress the button. To release the double lock and tighten further put the key into the top keyhole and turn all the way around. To release the cuffs and open them put the key in the bottom hole and turn left for the left cuff and right for the right.

This should have all been covered in the instructions but there weren't any. Which was fine because I kinda know what I'm doing but it would have been nice to include for the new guys and girls. That is my only negative point about this product.

It's well made, with a sold lock up, it's not terrifically uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time (those serrated edges look mean but you don't feel them unless you try to struggle free) and thumb cuffs somehow make you feel more helpless when they're locked behind your back. It's small and discreet enough to pop in a pocket or a purse for some impromptu outdoors bondage, and it will probably last you a lifetime. A great little product. It loses a point for the lack of manual but other than that, a perfect score.
