LELO Insignia Isla

By the off chance, I entered a FB competition held by Sextoys.co.uk. Out of the blue, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I had won a LELO insignia Isla.

Upon arriving, I was greeted by a smooth black/grey LELO rectangle box. Opening the outer packaging, I slipped out the plain black matt box, which had a simple 'LELO' title on the front. Lifting the lid off, I was surprised to see a black and silver smooth Isla vibrator, which had a silver brooch sat neatly under the vibrator. At the end of the box, there was a hidden section which homes the charger and user manual.

Taking the Isla out of the box, I found it very smooth to touch, silky in fact, it's silicone exterior is very welcoming. It isn't obvious at first, where the charger fits into but at the base is practically an 'invisible to the eye- notch', where the charger slips into. I was worried that this would vito out the water proof factor of this toy but after carefully reading the manuals and doing a bit of online research, you will find that this hole self seals, without issue, although it only has a water proof depth of 1 metre or so, ideal for the bath but I won't be taking this toy deep sea diving any time soon.

I can understand when LELO says that this little beauty's silhouette mirrors a female's form. It slips in with no issues. You can feel the silky smoothness of this little gem, as you slide it in, it actually even hits the G-spot without any effort.

Be advised though that this vibrator isn't for the faint hearted! It has 6 speeds, which you can flick through via the middle button. There are up/down speed buttons, which intensifies or weakens the strength if the Isla's vibrations. I ain't kidding when I say the Isla WILL make your bed rock!

In fact, this toy is the first that I have come across, where you can adjust/control the vibration's speed/strength, which is very welcoming and pleasant.

With a finger loop at the end, I found it easier to hold this toy in place, leaving a thumb free with access to use the Isla's controls.

The Isla comes with a satin storage bag, which is good if you wanted to take this playboy on your travels. It's also good, as it is said that silicone reacts with silicone, although LELO products are treated, so that they do not. But for me, I find it easier to keep this vibrator in it's box, along with the charger.

Over all, this toy gets top marks from me! Anyone wary of spending £90.00 odd, shouldn't be worried with parting with your cash for a LELO product, especially the insignia Isla, well worth every penny!

Lelo is a Swedish company that has an obsession with creating high quality, luxurious vibrators that please on both an aesthetic and physical level.

The Isla's curves are so seductively feminine, echoing the female silhouette. I understand why Lelo's slogan is 'Lust Objectified'¯. The Isla effortlessly blends fashion, form and function. The matte pink is striking set against the smooth, sleek gold. The textures are sumptuous to behold and to feel. Unsurprisingly, Lelo products are phthalates-free, non-toxic and made from top quality, body-safe materials. The pink outer-body is made from soft silicone that warms to the touch easily and the gold plate is made from smooth ABS plastic. This confused me when I first felt the toy as I was convinced that the inner plate was made of real metal. I certainly couldn't tell the difference from looking at it. The contrast between the two textures is fabulous. It feels so nice to stroke the toy along your body, slowly turning it from the matte finish to the silky smooth sides. The wonderful contours of the sleek gold plate feel amazing against the nipples and clitoris.

The Isla is simple and intuitive. It is mid-sized, making it perfect for the novice and expert alike. This toy begs to be used and is made to work perfectly with the female form. The Isla's bulbous head and contoured sides are excellent for clitoral stimulation. If you are using the toy with a partner the head can also be used for all-over body massage. The Isla is gently contoured to hit every pleasure spot. My favourite way of using this pleasure object is slowly inserting it then gently rocking the toy against the G-spot. This is very easy to do as the looped handle gives you, or your partner, very precise control and allows you to easily manipulate the toy to match your every need. The handle is very comfortable to hold and the loop is large enough to fit your fingers through enabling you to reach the controls. These are positioned perfectly on the top of the handle for ease of use. The three control buttons are part of a triple swirl design that lights up in a gorgeous flash of pink when a button is pressed. There is a plus button for increasing power, a minus button for decreasing power and a central button that selects vibration patterns. The symbols are raised slightly from the silicone body making them instinctive to touch. Even running your fingers along the controls becomes a sensual experience.

There are six levels of vibration, which vary from a gentle purr to a high level of vibration for instant gratification, making this toy perfect for both teasing and pleasing. There is a good range of patterns from the standard pulse and escalation modes through to more unique pulse sensations. The Isla doesn't just pulse but purrs and throbs. The high quality motor produces deep sensations that you do not get with cheaper and lower quality toys. Despite the power that this toy can produce it is whisper quiet even on the highest levels, again because of the high-quality motor. You really do get what you pay for.

The Isla contains a top quality Lithium Ion battery meaning that it is fully rechargeable, making it both pocket and environmentally friendly by ditching those batteries (that you can never actually find when you need them). To charge the Isla, simply insert the mains adapter into the self-sealing silicone hole at the base of the handle. It takes approximately two hours to fully charge and from this you gain four hours playtime (although who would need all four I don't know). You will know when the Isla is fully charged as the LED surrounding the controls will stop pulsing and emit a steady glow. To make sure that you don't lose any charge by turning the toy on accidentally, you can travel lock the toy by holding down the plus and minus buttons together. This is a fantastic feature if you are travelling and don't want any embarrassing scenes in the hotel lobby or airport.

A high quality toy that demands to be worshipped. Simply lust objectified.
