The batteries take a bit of time to change as you need to partly remove the bullets out of the compartments and remove the switch side

The batteries fall out with ease

To put the bullet back into the compartment no need to use lube or anything like that.
I've found it's easy to allow the area behind the bullet fill with air and as you push the bullet back into the compartment squeeze the air and it will remove the contact between the wall and the bullet making it easier to push it back in.
